Spain…wish I could drive there. My most precious possession is my cherry red viper, and I’m not giving it up…not for all the gold in the Spanish coffers! My employer is sending me to Spain as the VP of Spanish operations. It’s a great opportunity for me. I just wish it wasn’t a whole ocean away!

My employer is paying for my move so cost is not an issue. What is an issue is finding an international auto shipping company that will transport my viper safely from here in the US to Spain.

I Google international auto shipping company, put in USA as my home country and Spain as my destination. Several companies come up, all offering free online quotes. I don’t really care about cost so I don’t bother. What I care about is each international auto shipping company’s reputation and guarantees. So I check each one on the Better Business Bureau. I take my short list and call each international auto shipping company on the phone – my viper is much too important to me to trust to a company without talking to a live person.

In the end, I choose the international auto shipping company whose agent tells me everything I want to hear…guarantees, warranties, insurances…everything to ensure my car would arrive in Spain in one piece, and if it didn’t, that it would be replaced or fixed to my satisfaction.

My mother says I think too much about my car. “A girl, Pedro…get a girl and that is what will make you happy.”

Tried it…didn’t like it. What I got was a girl who wanted to drive my viper. Not going to happen…no way, no how. I find girls don’t understand the strong bond between a man and his car, especially when that car is a viper.

And another thing…a viper is happy when you fill its tank with premium gasoline. It doesn’t ask for more than that - it’s happy and it hums along like the well-oiled machine that it is. A girl now…that’s a different story. The more you give her, the more she wants. Instead of hum-along, what you get is whine-along. That’s not for me.

My sister thinks I just haven’t met the right girl yet. She keeps fixing me up with her friends but it never amounts to more than a couple of dates. When it really gets bad is when my mother arranges dates for me with her friends’ daughters. They’re the worst. Think about it, there’s usually good reason why they can’t get a date on their own.

For now I’m happy; just me and my viper. That’s why it’s so important to find the right international auto shipping company to get my car from here to Spain safely. I have to wonder – what do Spanish girls think about the bond between a man and his car? Guess I’ll find out soon enough!

I love my cell phone as much as anyone else loves theirs and I know how painful an experience it can be to drop it into a bathtub of water or into a sink full of dishes. Accidents happen whether we like it or not and many times we think that once that electronic device gets dropped into the water, it is irreparably water damaged. While this may or may not be true, allowing your cell phone to come into contact with water is something that you should do your very best to avoid.

Avoiding letting your cell phone come into risky situations is more difficult than some people may think, but hope is not lost. There are a few things that you can do to keep your phone away from water sources it can be dropped into. A few drops here and there of dishwater is not likely to do a lot of damage to the phone, but do you really need to hold it with your ear to your shoulder while you are washing dishes? If this is the only phone that you have, you may want to consider purchasing a headset and belt holster for your phone so you can talk on the phone easily without risking the safety of your phone.

If you do accidentally drop your phone into the dish water or the pool, you can salvage it by making sure you do not let the phone stay in the water more than 20 seconds. Water takes about this long or even up to 30 seconds to seep into the inside of the phone and reach the circuit board. If the phone was connected to the A/C adapter when you dropped it, unplug the phone from the wall first! If you do not, you could be seriously electrocuted. After you get the phone out, dry the exterior very quickly, remove the battery, and remove the A/C adapter from the phone.

If your phone contains a SIM card that holds all your contact data on it, remove this.

Place the phone in a bowl of uncooked rice overnight so the moisture will be drawn out of the phone. Do not attempt to turn your phone back on until it is completely dried out. Running electricity through the phone before it is dry is what will kill your phone. After the phone is dry, replace the SIM card and battery. Attempt to power it on. If it does not work, try the A/C adapter. If this works, then all you need to do is replace your battery.

Austin-San Marcos, TX June 24, 2008 - For many years the real estate market has been favorable to sellers, house prices have risen steadily while interest rates have been low for buyers. Nationwide, home sales have hit record levels and the market has appreciated nicely. However, most of us have heard of the old adage - what goes up must come down, which unfortunately is true of the real estate market. The real estate market is not immune to its ups and downs.

Since the shift in the economy and as more overextended borrowers fail to make monthly payments, foreclosures are continuing to rise. According to Realtytrac, foreclosures have risen 23 percent in the 1st quarter of this year from the previous quarter.

“The current economic climate has caused many to worry about the economy and the future of their money. This is understandable. However, it shouldn’t cause you to panic. Remember, all economies including the housing market expands and contracts,” says Josh Moore with Truly Self Directed IRA (www.irallcpartner.com). “As a matter of fact, on the bright side, now has never been a better time to assess your investment options, especially if you have money sitting idle in a 401k or IRA account.”

Several Reasons Why Now is a Great Time to Invest in the Foreclosure Market

“Many wise investors have made the choice to view the cup half full instead of half empty, while others have decided to sit out this economy altogether,” Moore continues. Every real estate investor will agree that to make money investing in real estate, you need to find good deals. What is defined as a “good deal?” Simply a good deal is one where you make money when the investment is made. Foreclosed homes are typically lower in price. Savvy investors are able to snatch up homes substantially below market value. This is an excellent place to start, particularly in the current economic climate, because there are so many foreclosures that banks can’t keep up. And, the ideal thing about investing when the market is down is that you can structure your investment so that it even thrives when the economy recovers.

“Many investors, especially IRA investors are putting their retirement funds to work now in the real estate foreclosure market,” says Josh Moore. “While others are lamenting the fact that foreclosed homes are on the rise, savvy investors are capitalizing on the down economy, building the foundation for enormous returns for when the market bounces back – and it always does,” says Moore.

Using your self directed IRA to invest in real estate, especially now that the economy is in what many view as a recession can pay huge dividends over the next 5, 10 or 15 years from now. It’s simple calculus: buy low and sell high. When do you remember interest rates and real estate prices being so low? Now is the time to buy, not panic, for now you may find some of the best deals you’re going to find for along time.

With home foreclosures on the rise, those with money just sitting earning pennies in a traditional self directed IRA account can put their money to work for them now in the real estate market with a Truly Self Directed IRA. Why is now a great time to be investing in the foreclosure market? Just like in the stock market, investing is all about timing. If you use funds from your Self-Directed IRA account to invest in foreclosures now, when the market is hot again, you’ll be perfectly positioned to reap the gains.

If you have mold damage to your home and it is due to something that’s covered in your insurance, such as water damage, a lot of the time it is covered. If it is a mold infection that has occurred over time, it is probably not covered. These are two general rules to go by if you’re trying to get your insurance company to cover the cost of removing the mold from your home.

Insurance companies are scrambling for reasons to deny insurance claims concerning mold and what adjusters and claim representatives like to tell people intending on filing a mold-related insurance claim is that mold has been around longer than people have and that it’s not as dangerous as all the hype is making it out to be. If you are going to file an insurance claim related to mold and they tell you that, it might be a good idea (especially if your claims adjuster is Jewish or Christian) to quote to them Leviticus 14:33-48. This is a scripture in the Bible that all but plainly records what the Lord has to say about mold and the dangers of it growing in the home. It says that the house is considered unclean and the mold should be removed and disposed of properly (i.e. away from where there are people). In this way, you will possibly have the upper hand because they will no longer be able to say that mold has only been recently seen as a problem when it grows in the home. Even if you are not Jewish or Christian, the text does prove that mold has not only existed as long as people have, but that it has been a problem just as long.

If you can prove that the mold in your home was a secondary problem caused by something that is covered by your insurance, your company might cover the funds needed to correct the problem. Read over your policy and determine what is covered by your insurance policy and what is not. Whatever you do, do not let your insurance adjuster sneakily get you to agree that the mold in your home has been around for a long time or that there could be a water leak hidden somewhere near the infection. As soon as you even remotely agree to something like this, they have you where they want you. Wait until any and all investigation into the problem is completed before you agree to anything with your insurance company.

List everything you need to have covered, including the cost of you having to relocate while the mold remediation is taking place and make sure you get all of the benefits that you are supposed to get under your policy.

Mold has been a problem for human beings ever since even Biblical times. There are thousands of species of it and while many are harmless, some of them can be pretty detrimental to your and your pet’s health. They can grow on wet clothes left laying anywhere on the floor or stuffed animals in the closet. Anywhere that has a high amount of humidity and heat is a place where mold can begin to grow. Mold has become more of a problem in the past few years not really because the population of mold in the world has increased, but because people have become aware that this is a problem that they need to try and deal with. There are about three general categories of mold and you should be familiar with what each of them are.

Pathogenic molds can cause health issues in people who have weakened immune systems like those who are going through chemotherapy due to cancer or anyone who has HIV or AIDs. Infants and the elderly are also particularly at risk. If you have this kind of mold living in your home, it’s best to call a professional mold remediation company and have them remove it. If you try to remove this yourself, you may just stir it up and cross-contaminate another area of your home.

Allergenic molds affect many people and these, as their classification may indicate, tend to cause allergies in people and sometimes in pets. Anyone who has a problem with asthma or anyone with a weak immune system might have some trouble if these live in the same place they do.

Toxic molds produce mycotoxins and while they tend to be rare, they can cause many serious kinds of health effects and can even cause death in some extreme circumstances. You should contact a professional as soon as possible once you have determined (via a mold test kit) that the mold is toxic.

Stachybotrys mold is more commonly thought of as the “toxic black mold” of legend. This tends to be found on wet materials that are cellulose based, such as paper or wood. One strain of stachybotrys mold can cause death in pets and another type can cause bleeding in the lungs in babies. It is commonly a hidden mold growth and cannot be detected by the naked eye, as it likes to grow under ceilings and behind walls and can go unnoticed for a long time.

An IRA LLC puts the power of how you retire in your hands. After all, as you’re the one who’s intimately aware of your hopes and dreams for the future, shouldn’t you be the one to determine how to invest the funds to get you there? With that in mind, following are two benefits of an IRA LLC.

Take Control of Your Finances – and Your Future

An IRA LLC is not simply a retirement account. It’s so much more. It’s the motor that powers the direction you want to head in for the future. For this journey, there’s no outside navigator needed. You get to decide the who, what, where when and how of investing.

After all, it was you who climbed out of bad day after day. In rain, snow, sleet and hail, you braved it. Sometimes for a job that didn’t bring the most satisfaction. Shouldn’t you be the one to decide how the fruits of your labor pay off over the long haul? AN IRA LLC allows you this opportunity.

Invest Your IRA in International Investments

The world is no longer just out our back door. It’s global economy, which means global investment opportunities Wall Street offerings offer but a sliver of the opportunities in this market. Take international real estate investing. There are many opportunities in emerging and established economies beyond U.S. borders like South America, Europe and Latin America. In fact, were you aware that there are 193 countries in the world that fall under the heading “international real estate?

Worldwide, real estate is a cyclical industry. And, while we may be in a slump here in the U.S., other countries may be experiencing an upturn. With an IRA LLC, you can take advantage of this. This is how real wealth is built. This is the advantage of an IRA LLC.

Once a job offer is made, a lot of people think they have no basis for negotiating but they would be surprised, with the right approach, that they can often secure compensation packages beyond what they thought was possible. A key point to remember is that negotiating more at the start of a job can turn into a substantial amount of increased earnings over the course of several years. Once people achieve an increased level of earnings, they tend to maintain that difference over where they were for several years.

The negotiation process we recommend at ITS is easy to use. Based on our thousands of negotiations, it was carefully developed to be easy to use. It is based on common sense and the art of soft selling, so that you get what you want without offending the employer in any way.

Not surprisingly, water damage is one of the most frequent causes of home insurance claims. Not many people like having to discover what is and what isn’t covered by their home insurance policy, but that’s often the way that it goes. A pipe bursts in the basement or an appliance such as a clothes washer or dishwasher begins to leak all over the floor while you’re gone on vacation and all of a sudden you find yourself wondering if you’re covered.

For example, if a pipe were to burst in the home due to a drop in temperature and you had left the home vacant and without the heat necessary to keep the pipes from bursting, you might not be covered. They could possibly deny you due to the fact that you did not take the necessary action that would have prevented the event.

If your bathtub overflows, you should be covered, even if it’s just because you were on the phone or tending to another matter in the house and simply forgot to turn off the water.

In most cases if a major household appliance such as a washer or a dishwasher suddenly malfunctions and water spews all over the floor and causes damage, you are covered by your homeowner’s insurance. You’ll have to pay for the cost of fixing the washing machine or dishwasher yourself, but any damage caused by the water itself should be paid for by your policy.

If the cause of the damage is heavy rain and the water leaks through the roof or floods into the basement and the house itself and items inside it are damaged, you should be covered for the cost of the water damage to the interior of your home. The damage to the belongings inside your home is probably not covered, however; if the roof leak was caused by a tree limb falling on the house, then the damage to your furniture, roof, and interior should be covered to a reasonable extent.

One of the major causes of water damage to homes, however, is usually not covered. This is a flood. Unless you have an insurance policy that specifically identifies a flood as a source of damage to the home, you aren’t covered. Flood insurance needs to be purchased from the federal government and your local community should be able to give you information as to whether or not they participate in the National Flood Insurance Program.

3 Things To Look For In Orange Beach Condo Deals

Everyone loves sugar-white beaches, waves and the light scent of coconut suntan oil drifting on the breeze. In the distance, you hear the hum of golf carts, or maybe you feel the warmth of your loved one’s hand in yours as you stroll lazily up the gulf coast. Sound good? Of course it does. So now you’re looking for the best, most affordable way to get yourself into an Orange Beach condo as quickly as possible.

However, before you click that “make reservation” button on some travel discount website, be sure that you’ve factored 3 major issues that most bargain-hunters overlook when scouting for Orange Beach condo deals. Orange Beach is one of the most beautiful and unique beach areas in the world, so be certain that you’ll be able to enjoy all it has to offer.

Featured Properties:

Many vacation sites offer discounts on “featured properties.” Renting an Orange Beach condo as a featured property instead of through a discount agency that simply reserves unwanted blocks of rooms can get you a better deal and a better room. Featured properties often include ocean views, full amenities and comfortable sleeping arrangements; whereas professional discounters may stick you with street-side vistas and consider a pull-out couch an acceptable sleeping situation.

Activities Packages:

Getting a good deal on a room is great, but many Orange Beach condos come with vacation packages that can save you literally hundreds of dollars. Before you enter your credit card details, check with a property representative to see if they offer bonus packages, coupon books or discount codes on Orange Beach attractions like dolphin cruises, activities at The Wharf or local restaurants.

Events Calendar and Seasonal Issues:

Orange Beach is a hot travel spot year round, but certain times of year are better than others depending on what your travel plans include. For example, if you hope to show your children sea turtle nests or even spot some mama turtles crawling up the coast, you’ll want to be certain to work your travel dates around the right season. On the other hand, if you’re eagerly anticipating a golfing weekend with the guys or a big shopping event with some of your best girl friends, then time of year may not play as big a role in your Orange Beach condo rental decisions.
